Description
This is a 6-hour sailing trip from the port of Sotogrande to the Strait of Gibraltar, designed for small groups of up to 6 people. On board the Assol, a classic sailboat adapted for comfort, you will be accompanied by an expert crew for a personalized experience.
Start your journey heading south, enjoying views of Andalusian coastal landscapes as you sail towards the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. If conditions permit, the crew will hoist the sails to give you an authentic sailing experience.
Passing Punta Europa, you will see the coast of the Rock of Gibraltar and the Bay of Algeciras, known for heavy maritime traffic. From the deck, you can observe local marine life including up to five species of dolphins, and with some luck, whales and other marine mammals in their natural environment.
You will also witness the operation of large merchant ships either transiting or waiting near the port of Algeciras, along with pilots guiding vessels into port. The trip offers the option to disembark at the port of La Alcaidesa or return to Sotogrande.
